Photo of the day - 11.03.14 - Florence Cathedral
I had seem photos of Florence Cathedral before seeing it in person so I knew what to expect, however the beauty and sheer scale of this architectural marvel were quite breathtaking all the same - You really can't get the same feeling and reaction from seeing something on a photo as you can in person, however I hope this photo conveys something of what I felt.
The original RAW of this photo was pretty decent as it was with a few small tweaks however I wanted to do something different so I applied the old polar filter and then used various brushes and radial filters to emphasise the parts of the cathedral in light.
